Drake "The Boy Meets" World Tour – O2 Arena, London / by Jakira Kamaly

Honestly, the Drake "The Boy Meets World Tour" was, by far, my best concert experience EVER. Although, I was surrounded by idiots covered in sweat, trying to secure a whine during "Work" and blazing up in the arena, it was probably one of the best days of my life. But, shoutout to the tall Canadian guy who offered to hold my camera for me to take videos. You the real MVP.

I attended the concert on February 1st, at the London O2 Arena. It was my first concert at the O2 and is definitely very memorable.

Drake brought out Section Boyz, Giggs, and the iconic Travis Scott (who managed to fall off the stage mid-song and ended up breaking the globe, so we got refunded for the tickets and I'm still laughing).

He played songs from his albums "Views", "If You're Reading This It's Too Late", "What a Time to be Alive", "Take Care" (which is my absolute fave album of his ever),  and "Nothing Was the Same". He also performed “Fake Love”, which was released as a single, and features on his newly released "More Life" album, which debuted earlier this month. I listened to it on repeat for like a whole month, oh my god, I love that song.

The arena was packed out with thousands of screaming Drake fans. I was dying, everyone around me was dying. Thankfully, I was with my cousin. Can’t imagine going to a concert alone, especially not for someone as big as Drake.

We had general standing (GA) tickets and managed to get pretty close to him. My pictures aren't very clear, but I wasn't wearing my glasses and I swear to God, I could see his eyes CLEARLY. So, I think we did quite well. In the beginning, we were pretty much at the back, but we had to play the "oh, I think my friends are somewhere over there" card to get closer to the stage. And, yes, we succeeded. Also, I do love a moshpit because it has the potential to push you closer to the stage lmao.

Anyway, if you've never been to see Drake in concert, you are missing out. I'm just gonna leave it there. I hope you enjoyed this blog post (but definitely not as much as I enjoyed the concert).

Thanks for reading. Keep scrolling for photos from the show!

Until next time, Aubrey. MORE LIFE.

Love,
